At Puerta del Mar Cozumel, we understand that your pet is part of your family. That’s why we offer pet-friendly accommodation in Cozumel, designed for you to enjoy your stay with your dog under a responsible coexistence policy, ensuring a positive experience for all our guests and the proper care of our property.
We accept dogs up to 20 kg (44 lbs), with a maximum of one pet per room. Larger dogs may be considered only upon prior request and approval. To guarantee a clean and comfortable environment, a Pet-Friendly fee of USD $10 per night applies, which covers deep cleaning, rug washing, preventive fumigation, and room aromatization.
During your stay, we provide food and water bowls, as well as mats for your pet. Pet food is the responsibility of the guest, as each dog has specific dietary needs. For hygiene and safety reasons, food or water bowls are not allowed outside the room due to the presence of local wildlife.
For better coexistence, pets must always remain under supervision, be kept on a leash in common areas, and are not allowed on beds or furniture. Pets should not be left alone in the room for extended periods. Our housekeeping team will coordinate cleaning services directly with you when traveling with your pet.
We kindly request that pets be in good health and have up-to-date vaccination records, which must be submitted in advance for validation. Puerta del Mar reserves the right to request the removal of a pet in cases of aggressive behavior or non-compliance with these policies.
